Nephew searches for Robert Gerdts

I am searching for information about my uncle, Robert Gerdts, who was from Washington PA, and served with the 99th. Uncle Bob was a great guy who never talked of his time in World War II. Although I spent a bit of time with him, I never learned of his service until after he died. Any information would be much appreciated.
