Huston recognized

Denis Huston of Ocean Shores WA, was awarded a chevalier of the French Legion of Honor earlier this year. He was to attend a ceremony of presentation but had to cancel because he was hospitalized with complications following open heart surgery.

Huston said the French Consulate in San Francisco CA, sent a letter and the award for service during the Normandy Campaign in 1944. At that time, he was stationed at Cherbourg in the Post HQ Ordnance, collecting mines and other ordnance.
